Creating a Newie Account

To create a Newie account, download the Newie app from the App Store on iPhone or Mac, or sign up through the Newie web app.
1

Add Your Name and Email

Sign up using email, Google, or Apple sign-in. If prompted, enter a referral code. Provider accounts are reviewed before selling access is granted.
2

Add Provider Details

Add your profession, service details, contact details, and any requested business information. If you have a referral code, enter it during signup when prompted. Referral codes are separate from login access codes.
3

Create a Service

Add a name and price, then make sure “Available for Sale” is toggled on. Services use your default selling currency. Contact support if you need another supported currency; self-serve per-service currency changes are not currently available. Optional features like Terms of Service, Intro Pricing, Digital Downloads, and setup fees can be added later.
4

Connect Stripe

Connect through Stripe for payouts, identity verification, bank account details, and business details. During this step, you select your region or country, which is permanent and cannot be changed. Choose the country where the provider or business is based and where the payout account can be supported.

Account Review and Approval

Newie reviews provider accounts before selling access is granted. Newie usually reviews accounts quickly, often within a few hours. Timing can vary if the profile is incomplete, Stripe needs more verification, or risk checks require extra review. Accounts may be rejected or restricted for policy, compliance, risk, verification, or suspected fraud reasons. Rejected providers may not be able to continue selling with Newie.

Stripe Details and Review Status

Newie uses Stripe to securely process payments and send payouts to the provider’s bank account. During setup, providers may need to verify their identity and provide business details.
  • Details under review: Stripe may review submitted personal or business details before payments and payouts are fully available. If the app shows details are under review, check back soon for updates.
  • Update required: If Stripe asks for updated business or personal details, complete the update promptly so payments and payouts continue to process correctly.
  • Reset Stripe setup: Providers can reset their Stripe setup at any time if payout setup needs to be restarted or payout details need to be entered again. The selected country should match where the provider or business receives payouts and where the bank account is located.
  • Paused or rejected accounts: An account may be paused or rejected by Newie or Stripe because of compliance, risk, verification, or policy issues. Contact support for more information.

Prerequisites for Selling

Before services can be sold on Newie, the following must usually be completed:
  • Profile setup (display name, biography, profile image)
  • Payout setup (Stripe connected with bank account and identity verification)
  • At least one published service with “Available for Sale” enabled
