Services can currently sell in AUD, NZD, USD, EUR, GBP, or CAD. After the default selling currency is set, all services created use this currency. Providers cannot yet change service currency themselves; contact support for currency templates where available. Some provider accounts settle in a currency that is not currently available as a service-selling currency. In that case, services must be created in one of the supported selling currencies, and Stripe handles any currency conversion into the provider’s settlement currency. Newie uses Stripe for payment processing. Providers must be in an enabled country with Stripe support. Customers can generally pay from anywhere by card if their payment method is accepted. BNPL has separate eligibility rules: in Newie, customers must be in the same country as the provider’s business to use Afterpay/Clearpay, Klarna, or Affirm. Standard card transaction fees are 3.4% + 30c for United States providers and 2.9% + 30c / 30p for other enabled provider countries; the UK fixed fee is 30p.

Privacy Policy

Newie’s full privacy policy is available within the app and at newie.app.

Terms of Use

Newie’s platform terms of use govern the provider-Newie relationship. This is separate from the Terms of Service feature providers attach to services.

Common Platform, Region, and Currency Questions

Providers can sign up in the enabled countries listed in Supported Regions and Countries on this page. Customers can generally pay from anywhere by card if their payment method is accepted.
Providers can use Newie on iPhone, Mac, and web. Tap to Pay is only available in the Newie iOS app on a supported iPhone. There is no Android provider app; Android is customer-only. Customers can also buy and manage subscriptions from a web browser.
Region and settlement/account currency are set during Stripe connection and are permanent for that account. If the provider relocates or needs payouts in another country, they usually need a new Newie account.
Services can currently sell in AUD, NZD, USD, EUR, GBP, or CAD. Providers cannot change service currency themselves yet. Contact support for support-assisted service currency templates where available.
